Our Unique Collection of Rugs
Our selection of tribal rugs spans from geometric tribal pieces (from the majestic Caucasus), to the vibrant and hypnotic Gabbeh rugs (from nomads southwest of Persia), to the Turkoman and Esari designs of the tribal people.
Traditional Rugs are inspired by the classic north central Persia workshop and city designs such as Tabriz, Kashan, Mahal, Heriz, and Sultanabad. these rugs range from a coarse Serape weave to silk rugs with several knots per square inch.
Our collection of Folk and Casual Rugs are fun and eclectic to match your individual personality.
Contemporary and Custom rugs are architecturally influenced designs utilizing the finest Himalayan weaves and wool of Nepal and Tibet.
Services
Cleaning and Restoration
Knots and Weaves specializes in professional treatment, restoration and preventive care of all types of Oriental and decorative rugs. Each rug is individually hand washed to bring out the richness of color. Depending on the amount of traffic, professional cleaning is recommended every one to three years. There is no guarantee that we can remove all stains, spots or discolorations, but with proper care, rugs can last for generations.
Pick-up and Delivery
Our cleaning service offers local pick-up and delivery in Philadelphia and the surrounding area.
Repair
When needed, Knots and Weaves' experts can repair and restore your rugs by reweaving, wrapping sides, patching and adding new fringe.
Pet Treatment
Mustiness or minor odor problems caused by pets may be helped by our deodorizing treatment at the time of cleaning. In some cases, standard cleaning will not always remove pet odors and stains so additional treatment may be required.
Moth Protection
We recommend that all wool rugs be treated for moth protection at each cleaning. We also suggest added protection be added to help resist spots, spills, and stains.
