Invisalign
Does your smile reflect the real you? Invisalign makes it easy to straighten your teeth without bands, brackets, or wires. Invisalign is virtually invisible alternative to braces, so you can smile during as well as after treatment.
Invisalign straightens your teeth by using a series of clear, removable aligners. Change the aligners every two weeks and your teeth will move, little by little, toward the smile you have always wanted.
Invisalign is removable and comfortable to wear and it doesn't require you to change your busy lifestyle. You visit the dental office every month or two to check your progression and to get new aligners. Average treatment time is only about one year. Since the aligners are removable, you can continue to eat your favorite foods and you can brush and floss to keep your gums healthy.
Dr. Barbara Neilson is a certified Invisalign doctor. She will be happy to meet with you, answer your questions and evaluate your smile to see if Invisalign is the right treatment choice for you. The evaluation is complimentary and if you start Invisalign treatment within the next two months, teeth whitening is also complimentary. This is a $395.00 value.
NTI
Do you or someone you know suffer from frequent headaches, maybe even migraines? Do you have pain in your jaw joints, also known as TMJ, when eating or opening your mouth? Do you grind or clinch your teeth? Dr. Howie Neilson may be able to provide relief with a simple oral appliance called an NTI. The NTI helps relax the muscles causing pain and will protect the teeth from the damaging effects of grinding and clenching. Please ask for more details on the comfortable, easy-to-use NTI.
Snore-guard
Snoring is a problem for many people and their partners. Sleep apnea has been linked to many other problems such as fatigue, mood disorders, heart problems, and stroke. The Silent Night appliance made by Dr. Neilson can help. It is a simple, more invasive approach to minimizing snoring, and it is the second most effective treatment for sleep apnea after the uncomfortable C-PAP machine. Many of our patients enjoy the benefits of the Silent Night appliance. As Dr. Howie's best friend said, "It;s nice to still have my wife in bed with me in the morning." Ask how it can help you.
Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.
