Minor League baseball came back to Wilmington, DE in 1993 and for the past 16 years the Wilmington Blue Rocks have provided fun, affordable, family entertainment to over 5 million fans.  The Blue Rocks are a high single-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play in the Carolina League.  The Blue Rocks have won the Carolina League Championship four times in their 16 year history and have seen over 100 players make it all the way to the Major Leagues highlighted by such starts as Johnny Damon, Mike Sweeney, Carlos Beltran, Jon Lieber and many, many more.  The Blue Rocks take great pride in their community involvement with various reading programs with the area’s schools and numerous charitable donations.  With ticket prices ranging from $4-$10, the Blue Rocks remain the area’s number 1 option for affordable entertainment.
